Goodstart is seeking an experienced
Organisational Development Specialist
to join our People & Culture team and contribute to enterprise-wide initiatives that improve
employee experience, engagement, capability and workforce effectiveness
.
This is a broad and varied
generalist role within Organisational Development
, making it a great opportunity for an experienced HR or People & Culture professional looking to broaden their experience into organisational development.
You'll play a key part in a diverse portfolio of strategic People & Culture projects.
From employee engagement and recognition strategies to performance and capability frameworks, leadership development and improving people processes, you'll help turn workforce insights and business needs into practical solutions.
You'll have the opportunity to contribute across the project lifecycle — from
discovery and business case development through to design, delivery, change communications, implementation and evaluation
— while partnering with stakeholders across People & Culture, our Centre Support Office and State Operations.
You'll also work closely with leaders to understand their challenges and design
bespoke solutions
, whether that's facilitating a team development workshop, developing practical playbooks or supporting the adoption of new ways of working.
Your Impact
As part of our Organisational Development team, you'll:
Play a key role in delivering
enterprise-wide organisational development and People & Culture initiatives
.
Take ownership of key workstreams, contributing from
discovery and business case development through to design, delivery, implementation and evaluation
.
Use
employee engagement data, workforce insights and research
to identify opportunities and inform recommendations.
Contribute to the continued implementation and adoption of Goodstart's
performance and capability framework
and new ways of working.
Contribute to employee engagement initiatives, including
Voice of Goodstart surveys, enterprise action planning and continuous improvement
.
Support the development of strategies and initiatives across areas such as
employee benefits, recognition, leadership development and workforce capability
.
Design and facilitate engaging
workshops and capability-building activities
for leaders and teams.
Develop practical resources, frameworks and playbooks to support leaders, including resources for areas such as disciplinary management and people processes.




Partner with senior leaders and stakeholders across the organisation to understand needs, build alignment and develop effective people solutions.
Contribute to the evaluation and continuous improvement of existing programs, including induction and leadership development initiatives.
Support
change communications and adoption activities
to help embed new initiatives and ways of working.
Develop clear, evidence-based recommendations and communications that translate people insights into meaningful outcomes.
Respond to emerging business needs and
pivot priorities
as required across a varied project portfolio.

You'll bring to the table:
A qualification in
Human Resources, Organisational Development, Psychology, Business or a related field
.
Demonstrated experience in
Human Resources, People & Culture, Organisational Development or a related discipline
.
Candidates from a strong HR or HR Business Partner background with an interest in organisational development are encouraged to apply.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to
partner with leaders, understand their needs and develop practical people solutions
.
Experience contributing to or delivering
People & Culture projects and initiatives
, ideally across the project lifecycle.
Strong understanding of contemporary people practices, with an interest in areas such as
employee experience, engagement, capability and organisational effectiveness
.




Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to
influence, engage and bring people together
.
Experience supporting
change initiatives and developing communications that help people understand, adopt and embed change
will be highly regarded.
Experience contributing to
project delivery
, including planning, stakeholder coordination, implementation and evaluation, will be highly regarded.
Ability to use
people data and insights
to identify opportunities and inform recommendations.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to
manage competing priorities and adapt to changing needs
.
A collaborative, curious and solutions-focused approach, with the confidence to work across a
varied and evolving portfolio of initiatives
.
Experience in
organisational development, change management, performance and capability, talent, engagement or workforce initiatives
will be highly regarded.
Experience working in a large, multi-site or purpose-driven organisation will be highly regarded.
Willingness to obtain a relevant Working with Children Check and complete required safety and compliance requirements.
