We're looking for a talented Civil / Structural Engineerto join our team and contribute to some of Victoria's most important electricity infrastructure projects.
This role will focus on the civil and structural design of substations, including earthworks, drainage, buildings, equipment foundations, steel structures and associated infrastructure.
Your opportunity
Working alongside electrical engineers, project managers and delivery teams, you'll help design the civil and structural components that support critical Zone Substation and transmission infrastructure.
Your work will include:
Designing bulk earthworks, drainage, buildings, structures and equipment foundations
Developing civil and structural solutions for Zone Substations up to 66kV
Preparing detailed engineering calculations, specifications and design documentation
Supporting the civil aspects of underground cable infrastructure and earthing system design
Supporting transmission line tower civil and structural design
Reviewing and quality-checking designs
Developing scopes, estimates, schedules and resource plans
Supporting projects through design, construction and commissioning
Working closely with project managers, electrical engineers, contractors and suppliers
Identifying risks and finding practical, innovative solutions

About you
We're looking for someone who is technically strong, curious and genuinely enjoys working with people.
You'll ideally bring:
A recognised Civil Engineering qualification, or equivalent experience
Experience in civil and/or structural design
Experience within utilities, electricity, energy or major infrastructure is highly regarded
Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and engineering practices
Experience with earthworks, drainage, structures and foundations
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
Strong engineering calculation and technical documentation skills
An understanding of project costs, scopes, schedules and delivery
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
