Our Dispute Resolution & Litigation practice in Melbourne is a dynamic group with a diverse range of interesting work, and a place for lawyers and support staff to further develop, grow and be part of a genuine team.

About the role
Given recent growth in the team, we are seeking a Practice Coordinator/ Legal Assistant to provide high level, senior support and coordination to our growing and busy disputes practice.
In this newly created and critical role, you will provide direct support to Partners and coordinate a team of support staff across a range of matters.
Day to day you can expect to:
Coordinate team operations and case file management with a focus on effective and profitable workflows, including working closely with Partners to manage resourcing and work allocation.
Provide comprehensive senior administrative and secretarial support to a team of legal professionals.
Assist with time entry, billing processes, monitoring and managing updates to client cost estimates, and preparing accounts for clients, including resolving any billing queries.
Manage, guide and develop junior legal assistants and delegate administrative duties as appropriate while fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.
Manage calendars, coordinate and drive marketing initiatives, and coordinate travel arrangements.
Liaise with clients, internal stakeholders, and external service providers.
About you
You will be an experienced and highly capable legal support professional,
with experience in a litigation and disputes team, who thrives on a challenge and is genuinely invested in supporting and developing others.
You will have exceptional organisational skills, strong drive and desire to continually improve practices and procedures to ensure the best possible results for our team and clients.
You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a keen eye for detail and a positive, can-do attitude.
You will have the ability manage multiple tasks and deadlines, impart knowledge and work with the team in a supportive and flexible manner.
You will also have strong technical and systems capability.
Prior experience with Aderant/Expert and Work 10 will be highly regarded.
