What You'll Be Doing
Deliver purposeful, engaging swimming lessons across skill levels
Maintain the highest standard of safety and supervision
Adapt class techniques to meet program updates and learning needs
Support the implementation of new skill criteria
Keep qualifications current through training and development
Recognise hazards, incidents and report concerns promptly
Maintain accurate student progress records on internal systems
Work collaboratively with other instructors and senior staff
Provide guidance to new instructors or prac students when needed
Share customer feedback and contribute to program improvements
Perform additional duties as required within program guidelines
What You'll Bring
You're patient, supportive and passionate about teaching water safety. Ideally, you'll bring:
Austswim/RLSS Teacher of Swimming & Water Safety certification (essential)
Working With Children Check, CPR & First Aid (essential)
Knowledge of swim teaching principles and biomechanics (essential)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisation and lesson‐planning skills
Experience working with children (desirable)
Experience teaching in an aquatic facility (desirable)
Additional aquatic qualifications such as Infant Aquatics, Bronze Medallion or Competitive Strokes (desirable)
National Police Clearance (essential)
Additional requirements
Experience instructing baby swim lessons
Availability on evenings and weekends
