About the Role
As the HSE Manager, you will provide strategic leadership and direction across all aspects of Health, Safety and Environment at DDH1 Drilling. You will lead the development and implementation of HSE strategies, systems and initiatives that strengthen safety performance, manage operational risk and ensure compliance across our drilling operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Overall management and responsibility for HSE at sites
Delivery of business HSE systems programs
Deliver a developed reporting framework within the business for HSE
Shall ensure that all activities include appropriate HSE provisions and planning.
Deliver information on HSE matters and communicate it to all staff through the designated communication channels.
Comply with all the standards and procedures and applicable legislation and regulations.
Deliver HSE initiatives.
Coach and mentor staff in HSE matters and systems
Investigate HSE incidents and prepare reports on such incidents for consideration by the General Manager, Regional and Operations Managers, and Client Representatives.
Monitor HSE performance indicators,



analysis and trends to effectively implement and manage the HSE plans and procedures.
Will work in conjunction with all Managers to determine investigative procedures to be followed to assess the cause of non-compliance and to identify corrective actions to prevent recurrences.
Shall attend Client Management Safety Meetings when requested.
Shall conduct planned HSE inspections and internal audits.
Manage the company's internal audit schedule and client-related audits
Review audit reports and develop relevant and suitable actions in conjunction with the responsible person for action
Key Competencies, skills and experience:
Strong leadership skills
Strong business acumen
Excellent interpersonal skills (e.g., communication- cross-cultural, influencing)
Adaptability to change
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
At least 15 yrs experience in broad range, HSE and operational roles
Senior management experience with good practical exposure
Strong commitment to safety and a continuous improvement culture
Able to successfully negotiate and influence others
Able to balance a large workload within a time-restrictive setting
Able to communicate clearly and effectively with varying levels of the business
