Your Role
n
AsClinical Practice Lead you will provide expert clinical leadership, guidance and support to nursing teams across our Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD), aged care, disability and Primary Health services statewide.
n
Working across diverse service settings, you will provide clinical leadership, mentoring and consultation to nurses, while strengthening clinical governance, quality and secure, evidence-based practice.
n
Your Responsibility
n
n
Provide expert clinical advice, mentoring and support to nursing staff across NSW.
n
Act as a clinical escalation point, supporting safe and effective clinical decision-making.
n
Support nurses working with complex presentations, including AOD, mental health and chronic health conditions.
n
Promote recovery-oriented, trauma-informed and person-centred care.
n
Drive clinical quality improvement, audits, incident reviews and risk management.
n
Support accreditation, regulatory compliance and external reviews.
n
Identify workforce capability needs and contribute to education, onboarding, supervision and professional development.
n
Contribute to clinical policies, procedures,
models of care and scope of practice development.
n
Work collaboratively with medical, allied health, peer and operational teams to strengthen continuity of care.
n
Provide clinical advice to senior leaders on emerging risks, service development and nursing practice.
n
Lead and contribute to statewide projects, service improvements and new models of care.
n
n
About You
n
n
Current nursing registration and postgraduate qualifications in nursing or clinical leadership.
n
Demonstrated experience providing clinical leadership and support to nursing teams.
n
Clinical experience across AOD, aged care, disability and/or Primary Health settings.
n
Strong knowledge of clinical governance, quality and safety frameworks.
n
Experience supporting accreditation and regulatory compliance.
n
Experience working with people with complex health and psychosocial needs.
n
Excellent communication, mentoring and relationship-building skills.
n
The ability to work autonomously across multiple sites and manage competing priorities.
n
A current NSW Driver Licence
n
NDIS Worker Screening Checks & Orientation Module – Quality, Safety & You Certificate of completion, or willingness to obtain.
n
