Lead Council's works team in delivering essential civil works, road maintenance and municipal services across the Hinchinbrook Shire. This hands-on leadership role will coordinate crews and contractors, drive safe and efficient delivery, and ensure Council's infrastructure is maintained to a high standard. 76 hour fortnight with roster variations depending on the position (9-day fortnight - RDOs in accordance with Council policy)

General Salary Information

Level 6 Year 1C76 $108,230 per annum and $******* per hour including allowances plus superannuation.

Mandatory
n
n
Relevant qualification or demonstrated experience in civil works, infrastructure or a related field.
n
Proven experience leading or coordinating civil, road or infrastructure works.
n
Strong people leadership skills, including managing crews and contractors.
n
Sound knowledge of civil construction, road maintenance, planning and risk management.
n
Strong communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
n
Commitment to safety, quality, environmental and public safety standards.
n
Competence using Microsoft Office and relevant operational systems.
n
Current Queensland C Class Driver Licence and Construction Industry White Card.
n

Desirable
n
n
Local government experience in roads, civil or infrastructure works.
n
Experience with DRFA/REPA and TMR-funded works.
n
Traffic Management Implementation (TMI) or equivalent qualification.
n
Current First Aid Certificate.
n
Medium Rigid (MR) or higher Driver Licence.
n
n
Working Conditions And Physical Requirements
n
This is a hands‐on operational role. Applicants must be physically capable of safely performing manual handling and other strenuous tasks, including lifting, bending, kneeling, squatting and working in confined spaces or at heights.
