Handle a varied caseload across criminal law, acting for both Legal Aid and private clients.
n
Work across a broad range of matters, gaining exposure to different stages of criminal proceedings.

Based in Brisbane CBD with a highly flexible working arrangement and access to hot-desking.

Responsibilities
n
n
Manage your own criminal law files from instruction through to resolution.
n
Appear in court and advocate for clients where appropriate to your level of experience.
n
Prepare legal advice, correspondence, court documents and case strategies.
n
Liaise directly with clients, Legal Aid and other key stakeholders.
n
Maintain high-quality file management and meet required billing and professional standards
n

Skills & Experience
n
n




Ideally 1-5 years' PAE in criminal law, with solid experience managing your own files.
n
Solid advocacy, drafting and client management skills.
n
Experience working with Legal Aid and/or private criminal clients is highly regarded.
n
A practical, client-focused approach with sound legal judgement.
n
