The Opportunity
Sharp & Carter is partnering with a highly successful and rapidly growing healthcare organisation to appoint a Head of FP&A.; Reporting directly to the CFO, this newly created leadership role has been established as the business continues to grow and evolve. Sitting at the intersection of finance, commercial strategy and business performance, the role will provide critical insight and decision support across a significant pharmaceutical portfolio. This is an opportunity to join a business that has built a strong market position through innovation, strategic investment and sustained growth, whilst working closely with a highly regarded leadership team in a fast paced and entrepreneurial setting.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include:
Leading budgeting, forecasting and long range planning activities
Delivering commercial insights to support strategic decision making
Partnering with sales, marketing and operational leaders to improve business performance
Supporting pricing, profitability and portfolio management initiatives
Driving enhanced reporting, planning and analytical capability
Coaching and developing a small team across FP&A;, pricing and commercial analysis
Building stronger business partnering capability across the finance function
Supporting growth initiatives, investment decisions and continuous improvement projects




About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Strong FP&A; and commercial finance leadership experience
Pharmaceutical industry experience is essential
Experience supporting sales, marketing, product or commercial teams within a pharma or healthcare environment
A proven ability to influence and partner with senior stakeholders
Strong commercial acumen and business partnering capability
Experience leading, mentoring and developing teams
Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate financial information into actionable commercial insights
CA/CPA qualification and relevant tertiary education
Candidates could come from pharmaceutical manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers or broader healthcare organisations, provided they possess relevant pharmaceutical sector experience and a strong commercial finance background.
