Bakers Delight Brookside is looking for a dedicated and skilled baking professional to join our team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about producing high-quality baked goods and working in a fast-paced retail bakery environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare, mix, knead, and shape dough for a wide range of bread and specialty products
n
Bake products in accordance with recipes, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation standards
n
Monitor fermentation, proofing, and oven temperatures to achieve optimal baking results
n
Ensure all baked goods are fresh, visually appealing, and ready for customer display
n
Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic work environment in line with food safety regulations
n
Assist with stock control, ingredient ordering, and inventory management
n
Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production and sales targets
n




Support product merchandising and maintain attractive in-store displays
n

Requirements
n
n
Relevant qualification in baking or a minimum of 2–3 years' experience in a commercial bakery
n
Robust knowledge of dough preparation, fermentation, and baking techniques
n
Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in a high-volume environment
n
Strong time management skills with flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays
n
High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining hygiene and quality standards
