The Opportunity
n Hall Contracting is seeking 2 experienced Diesel Fitters to support dredging and marine infrastructure projects across Australia.
n
This is an excellent opportunity for fitters from civil construction, mining, resources or infrastructure backgrounds who are looking for a change. Working across a diverse fleet of heavy plant and marine equipment, you'll be exposed to a variety of projects, locations and challenges while supporting some of Australia's most unique marine infrastructure works.
n
These are FIFO positions with roster options typically ranging from 14:7, 20:10 and 28:14, depending on project requirements.

About You
n
n
Heavy Diesel Fitter or Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification
n
Minimum 3 years post-trade experience maintaining heavy civil construction equipment
n
Experience working on excavators, articulated dump trucks, dozers, graders and similar plant
n
Experience with Caterpillar, Komatsu, Volvo and Hitachi equipment highly regarded
n
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
n
Experience with hydraulic systems, pumps and mobile plant maintenance
n
Experience rebuilding engines, transmissions and hydraulic components highly regarded
n
Marine experience on vessels, dredges, barges or workboats advantageous but not essential
n
Ability to work independently in remote FIFO environments
n
