Assist qualified technicians with the inspection, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of heavy equipment and machinery
n
Learn to diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical faults
n
Safely operate workshop tools, equipment, and lifting devices
n
Maintain a clean and organised work setting

Successfully complete apprenticeship training
n
Attend required trade school and maintain training records
n
Work across different service areas

Participate in on-the-job training to build broad industry experience

Requirements

Enrolled in, or committed to completing, a Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology
n
Genuine interest in mechanical equipment, heavy machinery, and developing a long-term trade career
n
Strong literacy, numeracy, and basic computer skills
n
Ability to complete training and workplace documentation
n
Demonstrated ability to safely use hand tools
n
Ability to follow workplace safety procedures
n
Willingness to learn new technical skills through structured training, on-the-job experience, and trade school attendance
n
Reliable, motivated, and team-oriented
n
Positive attitude and commitment to personal and professional development
n




Successful applicants progressing past interview stage must undergo National Police Clearance and Medical Screening, including drug and alcohol testing
