About the Role
The Health, Safety & Wellbeing Specialist plays a pivotal role in shaping a safe, healthy and thriving workplace at icare.
Leading the continuous improvement of our WHS Management System, you will drive impactful health, safety and wellbeing initiatives, oversee incident and psychosocial risk management, and strengthen governance across the organisation.
Working closely with stakeholders across icare, you will influence a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement, using data-driven insights to enhance compliance, mitigate risk and deliver positive outcomes for our people.
The role reports to the Senior Manager, Health, Safety & Wellbeing and works collaboratively with stakeholders across People & Communications and the broader organisation.

Duties
It's an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as a
Health Safety & Wellbeing Specialist
you will:
Lead the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of icare's WHS Management System, ensuring alignment with legislative requirements, contemporary WHS practice and organisational risk appetite
Lead the incident management framework, including governance, investigation, corrective action management, verification of effectiveness and organisational learning
Lead the identification, assessment, and management of physical and psychosocial hazards and emerging WHS risks, including those arising from digital work environments, workload pressures, and organisational change
Lead WHS consultation arrangements including the Health and Safety Committee, ensuring effective worker engagement and compliance with consultation requirement
Maintain proactive injury management for all and non-work-related ill and/or injury, utilising early intervention strategies
Skills & Experience
7+ years' experience in a Work Health & Safety role
Proven success driving WHS strategy, culture, governance and risk outcomes
Strong ability to influence stakeholders and deliver organisational change
Demonstrated experience managing competing priorities in fast-paced environments
Sound understanding of WHS legislation, compliance and governance frameworks
Relevant WHS qualification, ideally Diploma level or higher
Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills
Solid communication skills, with the ability to provide clear advice
