About the Role
n
We are seeking a creative and engagingSocial Media & Communications Coordinatorto join Preshil in a part-time capacity (0.6 FTE / 3 days per week).
n
This is a hands‐on role for someone who has an eye for design, a sense for storytelling and the curiosity to seek out and capture the people, learning and experiences that make Preshil different.
n
Working closely with the Marketing, Community Engagement & Advancement Manager, you will immerse yourself in school life, building connections with staff, engaging with students, attending events and actively finding the stories that bring Preshil to life.
n
Key responsibilities will include:
n
n
planning, creating, scheduling and publishing engaging organic social media content.
n
capturing photographs and short-form video content across classrooms, events, performances and school activities.
n
sourcing and shaping stories and content from across the School.
n
coordinating the weekly school newsletter, including copywriting and editing staff submissions,



preparing photographs and publishing through Craft CMS.
n
maintaining and updating website content using Craft CMS.
n
creating invitations, posters and other promotional materials using established Canva brand templates.
n
supporting the digital promotion of school events, programs and achievements.
n
maintaining content calendars, photographs and digital assets; and
n
ensuring content reflects Preshil's distinctive voice, values and brand.
n

About You
n
You will bring:
n
n
a relevant qualification in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Media, Journalism or a related discipline.
n
demonstrated experience in social media, digital communications and content creation.
n
excellent copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to turn ideas and information into engaging stories.
n
a strong eye for design, photography and visual storytelling.
n
confidence capturing photographs and short-form video content.
n
experience using Canva and photo/video editing tools.
n




experience using Craft CMS or a similar content management system.
n
a strong understanding of social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok.
n
initiative, curiosity and the confidence to actively seek out stories and content.
n
strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
n
a warm, collaborative approach and the ability to build relationships across a school community; and
n
alignment with Preshil's values and progressive educational philosophy.
n
