Are you an experienced Full Stack Developer looking to contribute to a large-scale digital transformation program delivering modern, cloud-native solutions for Queenslanders?
n
A Queensland Government department is seeking a talented Full Stack Developer to join a high-performing Agile delivery team. You'll play a key role in the design, development and enhancement of scalable applications built on AWS, working across front-end, back-end, integration and cloud infrastructure components.
n
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges while working with modern engineering practices and contemporary cloud technologies.
n
What You'll Be Doing
n
n
Designing and developing responsive web applications using React and TypeScript
n
Building cloud-native backend services, microservices and APIs within AWS
n
Developing RESTful APIs using OpenAPI and contract-first principles
n
Delivering event-driven and API-based integration solutions
n
Building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK
n
Developing scalable data solutions across relational and NoSQL platforms
n
Contributing to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and DevSecOps practices
n
Participating in architecture discussions,



solution design and code reviews
n
Producing technical documentation and supporting knowledge transfer activities
n
n
About You
n
You will bring strong commercial experience delivering end-to-end software solutions and have a genuine passion for modern cloud engineering.

Essential Skills
n
n
Strong experience with React, TypeScript and contemporary JavaScript frameworks
n
Experience developing complex role-based user interfaces and business workflows
n
Strong AWS development experience, particularly with:n
n
AWS Lambda
n
API Gateway
n
EventBridge
n
SQS & SNS
n
DynamoDB
n
S3
n
RDS/Aurora PostgreSQL
n
IAM, Secrets Manager and CloudWatch
n
n
Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
n
Strong understanding of OAuth2, OIDC and JWT authentication
n
Backend development experience using Python
n
Infrastructure as Code experience using AWS CDK
n
Experience with GitHub Actions or equivalent CI/CD tooling
n
Strong testing, troubleshooting and software engineering practices
n

Highly Regarded
n
n
Experience designing scalable and resilient serverless solutions
n
Observability, monitoring and distributed tracing experience
n
Experience within large enterprise or government environments
n
AWS certifications
