About the Role
n
As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for developing and delivering mechanical design solutions across major mining infrastructure projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to produce high-quality design documentation and ensure designs align with project, operational, and safety requirements.

Mandatory Requirements
n
n
***** years of Mechanical Design experience within the mining and resources sector.
n
A minimum of 2 continuous years working on a major Iron Ore project within the last 5 years.
n
Proven experience delivering design work for large-scale Iron Ore processing, materials handling, crushing, conveying, screening, stockyard, port, rail, or fixed plant infrastructure projects.
n
Strong understanding of project delivery within operating mine site environments.
n
Experience producing detailed mechanical design packages and associated documentation.
n
Proficiency using industry-standard design software and 3D modelling tools.
n
Strong coordination and stakeholder engagement skills within multidisciplinary project teams.
n

Highly Desirable
n
n
Major project work with leading Iron Ore operators including Rio Tinto, BHP, FMG, Roy Hill, or Mineral Resources.
n
Brownfield expansion projects and sustaining capital programs.
n
Bulk materials handling systems.
n
Construction support and site-based project experience.
n
n

We are specifically looking for candidates who can demonstrate recent, hands-on involvement in significant Iron Ore project delivery rather than broader mining design experience.

The Iron Ore projects they have worked on.

Their role and design responsibilities.

Project duration and continuity of involvement.
n
The specific facilities or infrastructure they supported.
n

Candidates who cannot demonstrate at least 2 continuous years of major Iron Ore project experience within the last 5 years are unlikely to be considered for this opportunity.
