About the Position: SHIRAZ MODERNA PTY LTD trading as Surfers Pizza Kebab is seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager (General) to manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of our busy quick-food retail business located in Surfers Paradise.

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing business operations, stock control, purchasing, supplier relationships, pricing, sales performance, financial records, employees, customer service, marketing activities and workplace health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of the business.
n
Determine appropriate product mix, stock levels and customer service standards.
n
Monitor stock levels and coordinate purchasing and ordering requirements.
n
Select and liaise with suppliers and manage purchasing arrangements.
n
Monitor product and operating costs and establish and review selling prices.
n
Maintain accurate records of stock, purchases, sales and financial transactions.
n
Assist with preparing budgets and monitoring business income and expenditure.
n
Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities to improve revenue and profitability.
n
Plan and coordinate advertising, promotional activities and sales campaigns.
n
Establish and maintain high customer service standards.
n
Respond to customer enquiries and resolve customer complaints professionally.
n
Recruit, train, supervise and manage employees.
n
Prepare staff rosters and allocate work according to operational requirements.
n




Monitor employee performance and ensure staff comply with workplace procedures.
n
Supervise daily floor operations and ensure efficient customer service.
n
Develop, implement and maintain operational procedures for the business.
n
Ensure workplace health and safety requirements are followed.
n
Monitor cleanliness, safety and operational standards throughout the premises.
n
Identify operational issues and implement improvements to efficiency, service quality and business performance.

Essential Skills and Experience Applicants must have:
n
n
A minimum of one year of relevant full-time, or equivalent, experience as a Retail Manager (General), Fast Food Manager or in a closely related retail management position.
n
Demonstrated experience managing or supervising employees.
n
Experience with stock control, purchasing and inventory management.
n
Experience dealing with suppliers and monitoring product costs.
n
Understanding of budgeting, sales monitoring and financial record keeping.
n
Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills.
n
Ability to manage a busy fast-food retail environment.
n
Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
n
Ability to work independently and make operational management decisions.
n
n
A relevant qualification in business, retail, hospitality or management will be highly regarded.
n
The remuneration will comply with applicable Australian employment requirements and the Annual Market Salary Rate for the position.
