The Cloud Platforms Automation Lead is a newly created leadership role responsible for establishing and scaling Nexon's Cloud Centre of Excellence (CCoE).
This role will establish an automation strategy that supports how Cloud Practice delivers projects, onboards managed services clients, and maintains ongoing value for those clients.
The successful candidate will design, build, and operate platforms and tooling that transform traditionally manual processes into repeatable, efficient, and scalable services.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives at the intersection of cloud engineering, platform development, automation, and service delivery improvement.
You will be accountable for reducing time-to-deliver across engagements, improving the quality and consistency of customer environments, and creating tooling that enables proactive, insight-driven advisory to existing clients.
Key Responsibilities Cloud Centre of Excellence Establish and lead the CCoE function, defining its charter, governance model, and roadmap aligned to the Cloud Practice's strategic objectives.
Develop cloud reference architectures, security baselines, and operational standards that all delivery teams adopt.
Create and maintain infrastructure-as-code libraries, deployment accelerators, and reusable automation modules that reduce engagement effort and improve consistency.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement, measuring automation coverage and time-to-deliver as key metrics.
Delivery Automation Acceleration Design and implement automation pipelines that accelerate cloud project delivery across Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments.
Build tooling to rapidly onboard new managed services clients, including automated environment assessment against Nexon's operational baseline.
Develop risk identification and technical debt discovery capabilities that surface inherited issues at the point of client transition, enabling informed remediation decisions.




Reduce reliance on manual runbooks by codifying repeatable onboarding tasks into orchestrated workflows Proactive Advisory Platform Architect and build a platform that continuously analyses managed services client environments to generate proactive recommendations, improvement opportunities, and risk alerts.
Enable consulting teams to deliver automated advisory reports with minimal manual effort, scaling insight-driven engagement across the customer base.
Collaborate with Account Managers and Service Delivery Managers to ensure platform outputs translate into customer value and commercial outcomes.
Integrate remediation pathways into the platform, distinguishing between actions covered under existing agreements and those requiring project-scoped work.
Team Stakeholder Leadership Work closely with the Consulting, E2E Onboarding, and Managed Services teams to ensure automation assets meet real delivery needs.
Partner with Product and Managed Services leadership to align platform capabilities with service roadmaps.
Mentor team members, foster technical growth, and establish engineering practices that balance speed with quality.
Skills Experience Essential Significant experience in cloud engineering and automation within a skilled services, MSP, or consulting environment.
Deep expertise in at least one major cloud platform (Azure or AWS) with working knowledge of the other.
Proven track record building internal platforms, automation frameworks, or tooling that improved delivery efficiency at scale.
Experience leading technical teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical platform capabilities.
Desirable Experience establishing a Cloud Centre of Excellence or similar governance function.
Familiarity with managed services onboarding processes and operational baseline frameworks.
Background in building data-driven advisory or monitoring platforms.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Terraform Associate).
Experience with scripting and lightweight application development (Python, PowerShell, TypeScript).
