About the Role As a Senior Engineer - ERP, you will play an important role in the ongoing development, performance and support of Datacom's corporate application systems.
You will analyse business and technical requirements, define system specifications and design effective application solutions that meet established security, quality and operational standards.
This is a hands-on senior engineering opportunity combining complex problem-solving, application design, software installation and maintenance, performance monitoring, stakeholder consultation and technical guidance.
You will work closely with users and delivery teams, particularly on larger projects, to translate requirements into practical designs and support applications through development and testing.
You will also help uplift capability across the team by mentoring other engineers, sharing your technical knowledge and contributing to a collaborative and innovative engineering culture.
What you'll do At the moment, as Senior Engineer - ERP you will be focused on: Analysing and documenting requirements and design specifications for corporate application systems.
Resolving complex application and systems issues and providing technical consultation to users in line with established support models.
Working with users and stakeholders, particularly on larger projects, to define application requirements and recommend fit-for-purpose designs.
Providing technical guidance and assistance throughout application development and testing.
Monitoring the performance of corporate platforms and identifying opportunities to improve system stability and effectiveness.
Installing, testing and maintaining system software.
Preparing clear,
accurate and fit-for-purpose technical and system documentation.
Ensuring application designs and systems meet required security and quality standards.
Providing practical guidance within established company policies to meet schedules and resolve technical problems.
Mentoring engineers and sharing knowledge to build capability across the team.
Collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders and team members to achieve technical, business and organisational outcomes.
Supporting agreed budgets, schedules, work plans and performance requirements.
Taking reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of others, and reporting incidents, hazards and unsafe work practices in line with Datacom policy.

What you'll bring Required experience: At least three years' experience in software development and programming.
At least two years' experience in systems specification and design within a relevant industry.
A good understanding of current data processing systems environments and associated development paths.
A developing understanding of project management disciplines.
Sound financial management practices, including an understanding of the relationship between costs, utilisation and project revenue.
Strong business acumen and the ability to connect technical decisions with business outcomes.
Experience working on problems of diverse scope and evaluating relevant data and identifiable factors to determine an effective solution.
Sound judgement when selecting methods and techniques to solve technical and operational problems.
Experience working to budgets, schedules, work plans and defined performance requirements.
The ability to build relationships,
interact confidently and network with stakeholders and team members across your area of expertise.
The ability to contribute effectively within large, collaborative teams and support an innovative culture.
Proven negotiation skills and the ability to work towards outcomes that benefit all parties.
Solid analytical and problem-solving capability.
Excellent customer relationship-building and relationship-management skills.
Strong influencing and persuasive communication skills.
Effective presentation skills, including the ability to explain technical information to audiences at different organisational levels.

A bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Science, Engineering, Economics or a related discipline.
Nice to have: Knowledge or experience across business operations in professional services or managed services environments.
Experience working within a Tier 2 service provider.
Experience supporting corporate or enterprise application platforms in a complex, stakeholder-rich environment.
