Job Description
Melbourne-based / Full Time / Hybrid / Live Entertainment & Venues
n
Since ****, Strut & Fret has been one of Australia's leading creative forces — building festival precincts, touring circus and cabaret works and producing theatrical experiences across Australia and internationally. Our current work includes Spiegeltent seasons across Australia and multiple seasons at our permanent venues, The Grand Electric and The West End Electric.
n
Every one of those seasons, tours and productions needs a campaign behind it — and that's where you come in.
n
We're looking for a Marketing Campaign Lead to take approved brand strategy and creative direction and turn it into real, multi-channel campaigns that run on time, on brief, and on budget. You'll sit right at the point where a great idea either survives contact with reality — or doesn't. Your job is to make sure it does.
n
This is a hands‐on delivery role, not a strategy‐setting one. You won't be deciding brand direction or creative identity — but you'll have real ownership over how it all comes to life across paid, organic, EDM, ATL and everything in between, across multiple cities at once.
n
You'll report to the Head of Marketing and partner closely with our Brand Manager to keep creative intent intact from brief to launch.
n
What you'll be responsible for
n
Campaign planning & ownership
n
Build and own campaign plans for productions, tours, venue seasons and extensions
n
Align all campaigns to approved strategy, brand direction, budgets and KPIs
n
Manage timelines, calendars and delivery milestones across multiple venues and cities
n
Ensure creative lock points and approvals are realistic and well‐managed
n
Translating strategy into execution
n

Turn high‐level brand strategy and creative intent into transparent campaign briefs, channel requirements and sequencing, and asset delivery schedules
n
Ensure messaging, tone and visual standards are upheld
n
Escalate brand risk, ambiguity or execution drift early
n
Channel & stakeholder coordination
n
Coordinate activity across:
n
Paid and organic digital
n
EDM / CRM
n
Website updates
n
ATL (OOH, print, partnerships)
n
Act as the operational link between:
n
Head of Marketing (strategy & intent)
n
Brand / Creative leadership
n
Channels and content execution
n
Maintain one integrated campaign calendar across all activity
n
Issue campaign briefs to internal teams and agencies
n
Manage approval flow so strategic and creative input happens at defined checkpoints
n
Keep approvals structured, time‐bound and purposeful
n
Budget & performance oversight
n
Manage campaign budget pacing within approved parameters
n
Monitor performance against agreed KPIs
n
Report insights and recommendations back to the Head of Marketing
n
Flag when creative intent isn't translating into performance
n
Team leadership
n
Provide clear direction, priorities and feedback
n
Work closely with Brand to ensure creative consistency
n
ABOUT YOU
n
You've spent 4–6 years running campaigns — ideally somewhere in live entertainment, arts, events,

venues or cultural organisations — and you know the particular chaos of selling tickets to something that only exists for a few weeks
n
You can hold five campaigns, three cities and one shared calendar in your head at once, and somehow still hit every lock point
n
You've planned and delivered non‐digital campaigns too — press, radio, outdoor/transport, distribution — this isn't a purely digital‐channels role
n
You can brief a creative or an agency clearly enough that what comes back is usable
n
When a creative lock point slips two days before a season launch, you don't panic — you fix the calendar and keep moving
n
You've mentored or managed junior staff before, and you're comfortable giving clear direction, not just taking it
n
What this role owns
n
Campaign plans, calendars and timelines
n
Operational coordination across all channels
n
Briefing and delivery management
n
Budget pacing and performance reporting
n
What this role does not own
n
Brand strategy or portfolio positioning
n
Creative direction or visual identity
n
Channel posting, scheduling or community management
n
What success looks like
n
Campaigns are delivered smoothly on time and on brief
n
Brand and creative strategy remain visible and intact throughout execution
n
Decisions are escalated intentionally, not reactively
n
Marketing leadership can focus on strategy, not calendars
n
Why work with us
n
You'll be working as part of one of Australia's most enduring creative forces — a company that's built festival precincts, cabaret and circus works, and toured stages from Edinburgh to Munich for over 25 years. Real ownership over how that work reaches audiences, without carrying the weight of deciding what it should be.
