Primary Music Specialist teaching Years Prep to 6 at Melbourne Girls Grammar, a leading independent girls' school. This is a 0.80 FTE ongoing position commencing Term 1, ****.

Key responsibilities
n

Plan and deliver engaging classroom Music lessons across Prep to Year 6
n
Conduct and direct choral ensembles, fostering high standards across a range of music styles
n
Design creative curriculum and incorporate music technology to enhance learning
n
Support student creativity in performance and composition
n
Create memorable musical experiences and performances that celebrate diversity and excellence
n
Collaborate with colleagues to deliver a cohesive and engaging Music program
n
Uphold MGGS's commitment to child safety in all aspects of teaching and school life
n

About you
n
n
Hold current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)



registration or can gain VIT registration
n
Experience teaching classroom Music in a primary school setting
n
Strong choral conducting skills across a range of styles
n
Strong piano accompanying skills
n
Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage students in performance and creative work
n
Experience using digital tools and music technologies to enrich learning
n
A commitment to creating meaningful musical experiences that support student growth, confidence and wellbeing
n
