Your new role The Town takes a community development approach to supporting those experiencing homelessness and hardship.
The Homelessness Officer is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Town's Homelessness Action Plan.
Guided by compassion, inclusion, and collaboration, the Plan focuses on strengthening local support and ensuring people can access help when they need it.
What you'll need to succeed Formal qualification(s) in Community Development, Social Work, Criminology, Justice, or a related field,



and/or demonstrated experience in a similar role.
Excellent organisational, time management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to adapt to changing operational requirements and competing demands.
Demonstrated understanding of Community Development principles.
An awareness of homelessness issues and the homelessness service sector will be highly regarded.
Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to build collaborative partnerships across diverse stakeholders, including service providers, community organisations, government agencies, and internal departments.
