About Stepping Stone House Stepping Stone House exists to end child and youth homelessness in Australia.
Supporting children and young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness, the organisation provides safe housing, therapeutic care and long-term pathways to independence.
What sets Stepping Stone House apart is its commitment to supporting young people well beyond crisis, with aftercare programs extending through to age 30 to help create lasting outcomes.
Today, Stepping Stone House supports almost 100 young people and has ambitious plans to more than double its impact over the coming years.
With strong Board backing, significant investment in growth and a clear strategic vision, the organisation is entering an exciting new chapter.
Based in Rockdale with hybrid flexibility, this is an opportunity to join a values-led organisation where people genuinely come first.
The Opportunity Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Impact will lead all fundraising, philanthropy, partnerships, marketing, communications, volunteering, advocacy and government funding activity across the organisation.
This is far more than a traditional fundraising leadership role.
You'll inherit a team of seven and lead the development of a high-performing Impact function that is expected to grow significantly over the coming years.
The Board has a genuine appetite for investment and growth, with plans to expand the team to approximately 14 people as revenue increases.
The organisation has set ambitious income targets, including significant growth across philanthropy, government funding, partnerships and major giving.
You'll play a central role in shaping and executing the strategy that enables Stepping Stone House to support more young people and create greater long-term impact.
This role will suit an experienced fundraising or impact leader who enjoys building teams, driving performance, creating sustainable growth and leading from the front.




Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver the organisation's long-term Impact and fundraising strategy Lead fundraising across philanthropy, partnerships, events, trusts and foundations, grants, government funding and individual giving channels Build and scale new revenue streams including major gifts, bequests and regular giving programs Drive brand awareness, marketing and communications initiatives to strengthen community engagement and support Work closely with the CEO, Board and Care team to maximise strategic funding opportunities Strengthen donor journeys, stewardship and supporter engagement programs Lead, coach and develop the Impact team, creating a culture of accountability, performance and collaboration Utilise data and Salesforce insights to drive decision making, forecasting and performance outcomes Represent the organisation externally with key donors, partners, government stakeholders and community leaders About You You may come from a fundraising, philanthropy, partnerships, marketing or broader impact leadership background.
Most importantly, you'll be an accomplished leader who has successfully driven growth, built high-performing teams and delivered measurable outcomes.
You will bring: Senior leadership experience across fundraising, philanthropy, partnerships, impact, marketing or communications Demonstrated success growing revenue and developing sustainable funding streams Experience leading and developing teams through periods of growth and change Strong commercial acumen and a data-driven approach to performance Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management capability Confidence engaging with Boards, executive leaders, major donors and strategic partners The ability to set high standards,
