Job Description
n
Deliver construction, security hardening, maintenance and refurbishment projects across rural and remote NSW Teacher and Police Housing portfolios
n
Manage projects across the full lifecycle: planning, procurement, governance, stakeholder engagement, risk management and delivery
n
Act as client-side project manager for the Teacher Housing Authority
n
Lead and oversee external consultants and contractors
n
Manage procurement and contract administration under the NSW Procurement Policy Framework, including MW21 and GC21 contracts
n
Program-manage multiple work packages, including budgets, schedules, quality control, stakeholder coordination, reporting and MS Project management
n
Present to steering committees and the Board
n
Ensure scoping, tendering, contract award, defect and completion processes comply with government procurement requirements
n
Prepare approvals and governance documentation, including briefing notes, Minister's notes, board papers and financial documentation
n
Maintain project records, databases and property condition data
n
Manage defect liability periods, documentation handover and site meetings
n
Provide ongoing property maintenance advice and undertake regional travel as required
n

Requirements
n
n
Experience managing projects through the full lifecycle, including planning, procurement, governance, delivery and close-out
n
Strong project management skills, including managing risks, budgets, timelines and competing priorities
n
Well-developed stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills across government, industry and community stakeholders
n
Excellent communication skills and ability to prepare reports, briefings and project documentation and present complex information clearly
n
Sound knowledge of property maintenance, construction and project delivery principles, governance, procurement, contractual administration, compliance and risk management frameworks
n




Ability to plan, document, prioritise and adapt in a fast-paced workplace
n
Relevant tertiary qualifications in construction management, facilities management or a related discipline
n
Regional travel at short notice, including overnight travel, as required
n
Completion of or willingness to complete *****NAT Asbestos Awareness course
n
Valid NSW Driver's Licence – Class C
n
Valid NSW White Card
n
Current First Aid certification, including HLTAID009, HLTAID010 and HLTAID011
n
Proven experience in the construction industry
n
Strong people management and coordination skills
n
High-level written and verbal communication skills
n
