Job Description
Senior Business Analyst - Application Modernisation-Australian Citizen
n
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst who can take an incompletely documented legacy application, understand how it actually operates and convert that knowledge into a clear, deliverable modernisation backlog.
n
This is an application delivery BA role, not a policy or general transformation position.
n
Key responsibilities
n
n
Lead application and process discovery.
n
Assess Access DB, SharePoint, spreadsheet and legacy applications.
n
Document current-state processes, pain points and business rules.
n
Analyse application data, users, interfaces and integrations.
n
Develop requirements, user stories and measurable acceptance criteria.
n
Facilitate business and technical discovery workshops.
n
Support workload assessment, prioritisation and treatment recommendations.
n
Maintain scope and requirements traceability.
n
Coordinate SIT/UAT and business acceptance.
n
Support migration/reconciliation requirements.
n
Contribute to operational documentation, training and BAU transition.
n
n
Essential skills
n
n
7+ years senior BA/application delivery experience.
n
Application modernisation or legacy-system delivery.
n
Process discovery and rationalisation.
n
Requirements and business-rule analysis.
n
Agile, user stories and backlog management.
n
Azure DevOps or equivalent.
n
UAT and acceptance management.
n
Data/integration analysis.
n
Solid stakeholder and workshop facilitation.
n
n
Highly regarded
n
Power Platform, Azure, Dataverse, Access DB, SharePoint Online, Federal Government and consulting/service-provider delivery.
n
