About The Role
As an Allied Health Assistant, you will work under the supervision of qualified Allied Health professionals to deliver evidence-based therapy programs and support clients across a variety of clinical settings.
You will play an integral role in helping clients build independence, improve their quality of life and achieve their individual goals while working alongside a highly experienced multidisciplinary team.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
Assisting clinicians with the delivery of individual and group-based therapy programs
Implementing treatment plans under the supervision of qualified Allied Health professionals
Supporting clients to achieve their therapy goals
Preparing therapy resources and treatment environments
Completing progress notes and maintaining accurate clinical documentation
Collaborating with clinicians across multiple Allied Health disciplines
Building positive relationships with clients, families, carers and key stakeholders
Promoting client independence through high-quality therapy support
About You
We're seeking someone who is passionate about Allied Health Assistance as a long-term career and enjoys working within a collaborative clinical environment.
Ideally, You Will Have
A Certificate III or Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance
Approximately 2-4 years' experience working as an Allied Health Assistant or in a similar support role
Previous experience supporting Allied Health clinicians in a healthcare, disability or community setting
A strong understanding of person-centred care and evidence-based practice
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational and time management skills
The ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
A current driver's licence and access to a vehicle
A Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check
Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
We also welcome applicants with transferable experience from health, education, teaching, childcare or disability support backgrounds who are looking to establish a long-term career as an Allied Health Assistant.
