About the Role
We are seeking an experienced
Production Manager
to join our Macadamia processing site located in Bundaberg QLD.
Reporting to the Head of Processing Operations - Macadamias, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and high-quality operation of the processing facility while leading a team of Production Coordinators and Team Leaders.
Working closely with the Quality, Maintenance and Logistics teams, this position will drive production performance, continuous improvement, safety, operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily production operations to achieve output, quality and efficiency targets
Develop and manage production plans and schedules to meet customer requirements
Monitor and report on key production metrics and operational performance
Ensure appropriate labour, packaging and consumable resources are available to meet production demands
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, process optimisation and waste reduction
Work closely with the Maintenance team to minimise downtime and improve equipment reliability
Champion food safety, quality, workplace health and safety and regulatory compliance
Lead, coach and develop Production Coordinators, Team Leaders and production staff
Support future factory development, process improvements and operational growth
Foster strong collaboration across production, quality, maintenance and logistics functions
About You
Minimum 5 years' experience in a Production Manager or similar role within food manufacturing
Proven experience leading teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of production planning, operational efficiency and continuous improvement principles
Experience working with manufacturing equipment and production processes
Excellent leadership,
communication and problem-solving skills
Passionate about quality, safety and team development
Experience in macadamia processing or the nut industry will be highly regarded
Experience with budgeting, cost control and operational performance reporting is desirable

About Our Operations
Our business is widespread, growing walnuts and almonds in the Riverina Region in Recent South Wales, pecans in Moree and macadamias, avocados, and mangoes in Bundaberg, Queensland. In addition to fruit and nut growing, we also operate apiaries located in Temora, Nowra and Dubbo.
Off the paddock, we operate nut processing and packing facilities in Leeton, Toowoomba and Bundaberg as well as fruit packing and processing in Bundaberg. In addition, our shared services teams (Finance, Sales, ESG, Safety and People & Culture) are located across all of our sites as well as the Brisbane, Melbourne and Griffith offices.
