Here's What You'll Be Up To...
Leading and supervising a landscape maintenance crew delivering high-quality parks, gardens and public space services
Conducting day-to-day park and garden maintenance including mowing, planting, pruning and asset upkeep
Permanent full-time position with ongoing opportunities for development and career progression within council operations
Working with internal teams including supervisors, operations coordinators, and other maintenance crews
Enhancing the presentation and usability of public spaces, contributing to community wellbeing

What are we looking for?

You will be required to undertake employment checks, which may include a Criminal History Check, Qualification Check, Working with Children Check, Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test, as relevant to the position for which you have applied. Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes, you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council, for review, to progress through the recruitment process.

Requirements
Essential Criteria
Extensive experience in Landscape Maintenance
Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and allocate work
Experience in planning and coordinating day to day activities
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
Demonstrated knowledge of minor plant and equipment used in Landscape Maintenance
Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White) Card
A current Class C or MR driver licence
Knowledge of and commitment to WHS and EEO principles
Desirable Criteria
Tertiary qualification in Horticulture or related area
