The Opportunity
We're seeking a talented Project Manager to join the Superannuation Product team in Sydney on a nine-month fixed-term basis, leading the delivery of two interconnected transformation initiatives with a March deadline. You'll drive end-to-end delivery of recent investment option structures and digital member platform capabilities, while coordinating a parallel structural investment transition. This is a key role requiring both robust project discipline and genuine comfort with investment, operations, and custodian landscape knowledge.
Key Accountabilities
Lead and coordinate delivery of current investment option structures and member digital platform, progressing from development and build phase through to implementation
Maintain rigorous action and schedule discipline, ensuring time-critical milestone delivery across two interdependent initiatives
Navigate and communicate across investments, operations, administration, technology, and custodian partners to keep projects aligned and unblocked
Support the structural transition of existing investment options out of PST arrangements into direct options, working closely with the Head of Investment Operations
Translate technical and complex cross-functional requirements into clear project plans, status updates, and governance materials for senior stakeholders
Collaborate with the current internal project manager during knowledge transition, ensuring continuity and smooth handover of key insights
Identify and proactively manage risks, dependencies, and integration points between the two initiatives
Ideal Experience
Demonstrated project management experience in superannuation, financial services, or similar regulated environments with product or operational focus
Working knowledge of investment structures, product options, administration systems, and custodian data flows
Proven ability to maintain schedule discipline and drive action in time-critical, complex delivery environments
Strong cross-functional stakeholder management, particularly across technical and non-technical teams
Comfortable operating in hybrid PM-delivery roles, blending domain familiarity with project management rigour
Why Apply
Directly influence the development of member-facing digital capabilities and streamline investment operations for a significant fund
Work on initiatives with genuine member impact, contributing to improved retirement outcomes at scale
Flexible work arrangements available, including consideration of four-day-week options for the right candidate
