St John of God Midland Public Hospital
we provide a comprehensive range of services including emergency medicine, critical care, day chemotherapy, paediatric care, aged and stroke care, maternity and general surgery.
Our 307-bed public hospital is operated under a public-private partnership between the State Government and St John of God Health Care.
Our Services
We include wide range of public health care services for people in Midland and surrounding communities. Our services include 24-hour emergency care, public maternity care, Aboriginalpregnancyand maternity support through MoortBoojariMia, acute mental health treatment and medical and surgical care.
About the role
Join St John of God Midland Public Hospital and play an important role in enhancing the patient experience through exceptional food service. As a Food Service Advisor, you will act as the key link between patients and our Patient Food Services team, ensuring individual dietary needs and meal preferences are accurately communicated and delivered.
This is a rewarding customer-focused role where you'll engage directly with patients, support meal service operations, and help ensure a positive dining experience throughout their hospital stay.
Key responsibilities
Visit patients to distribute and collect meal menus.
Discuss meal preferences, dietary requirements and menu options.
Update and process menu information within the meal management system.
Coordinate meal tray distribution and resolve meal-related issues.
Liaise with ward staff, catering teams and patients to ensure dietary requirements are met.
Monitor diet changes and prepare menu documentation for food production.
Seek patient feedback and assist with service improvements.
Support the smooth daily operation of patient meal services.
Your skills and experience
You are a customer-focused and compassionate professional who enjoys engaging with people and delivering exceptional service. You will bring experience in food service, hospitality or customer service,



along with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working in a similar role within healthcare, hospitality or catering will be highly regarded, as will knowledge of special dietary requirements. You will also have a sound understanding of food safety and hygiene practices, confidence using computer systems, and a commitment to providing a positive patient experience.

We can offer you
Salary: $63,460 to $71,150,
per annum (pro rata for part-time) plus 12% superannuation.
Permanent part-time position available
Salary packaging up to
$18,550
