Job Description
The HR/OHS Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based on the Gold Coast, responsible for supporting our people, managers and broader business across HR, workplace health and safety, and compliance.

The role will help strengthen our people practices, support business growth and ensure SPL maintains a safe, compliant and positive workplace.

Key responsibilities
n
Manage recruitment, onboarding, employee changes and offboarding
n
Support workforce planning and broader people initiatives aligned with business needs
n
Provide practical HR advice and support to managers and employees across performance, employee relations and development
n
Develop, maintain and implement HR, OHS and compliance policies, procedures and frameworks
n
Maintain accurate employee records, HR systems and compliance registers
n
Support compliance with the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, Modern Awards and relevant employment legislation
n
Coordinate WHS/OHS requirements including risk assessments, incident management, corrective actions and workplace safety initiatives
n
Manage safety training, inductions, toolbox, licences and other compliance requirements
n
Support workers' compensation and return-to-work processes
n
Contribute to employee engagement, workplace culture and continuous improvement
n
About you
n
Strong generalist HR/OHS experience across recruitment, employee relations, performance management, OHS compliance and HR operations
n




Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation and workplace health and safety requirements
n
Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
n
Relevant qualification in HR, Business, OHS/WHS or a related field, or equivalent experience
n
Experience within a trade, security, construction, facilities or service-based setting will be highly regarded
n
Gold Coast located with Australian Work Rights
