About the role
La Tosca is seeking an experienced
Production Manager
to join our team on a
full-time basis
at our Brunswick VIC **** facility. This is a strategic leadership position where you will oversee all aspects of our production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality and safety standards are consistently met. The Production Manager plays a crucial role in driving operational excellence and contributing directly to the company's growth and profitability objectives.
What you'll be doing
Planning and scheduling production activities to meet customer demand whilst optimising resource allocation and minimising waste
Supervising and managing production staff, including recruitment, training, performance management and development
Monitoring production metrics and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
Ensuring all production processes comply with health, safety and environmental regulations and company policies
Coordinating with quality assurance teams to maintain product quality standards and manage non-conformances
Liaising with procurement, logistics and sales teams to ensure seamless workflow and on-time delivery of products
Identifying and implementing process improvements and cost-saving initiatives
Maintaining accurate production records and reporting on operational performance to senior management
Managing equipment maintenance schedules and troubleshooting production issues
What we're looking for
5+ years of production management experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment




Proven track record of successfully managing production teams and achieving operational targets
Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling and inventory management
Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles
Proficiency with production management software and data analysis tools
Comprehensive understanding of health, safety and environmental compliance requirements
Solid communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and lead diverse teams
Demonstrated capability in budget management and cost control
Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced production environment
Relevant qualifications such as a degree in engineering, operations management or related field are advantageous
