The Opportunity

Appoint is partnering with an established and growing Gold Coast operation to appoint an Asset & Maintenance Manager.
n
This is a hands-on leadership role focused primarily on a significant fleet of trucks, dozers, excavators, compactors and water carts, with responsibility also extending to fixed plant and site infrastructure.
n
The foundations are strong, with established systems, experienced site teams and a comprehensive asset register. The opportunity is to bring greater structure, consistency and commercial discipline to the maintenance function.

What You'll Do
n

Lead planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across the asset base
n
Manage maintenance contractors, suppliers and compliance requirements
n
Improve fleet reliability, availability and maintenance performance
n
Manage maintenance expenditure and asset lifecycle decisions
n
Maintain accurate asset and maintenance systems
n
Partner with Site Managers and senior leadership on operational priorities, fleet renewal and upgrades
n

About You
n
We're looking for an experienced Maintenance, Fleet or Asset Manager,



ideally with strong heavy mobile equipment experience.
n
You'll ideally bring:
n
n
Experience managing maintenance and reliability acrossfixed plant, infrastructure and mobile assets, ideally including heavy vehicles and equipment.
n
Proven experience managingcontractors, suppliers and maintenance activities.
n
Sound commercial judgement acrossreliability, maintenance, lifecycle planning and asset replacement.
n
Experience withCMMS, fleet or asset management systemsand using data to drive asset performance.
n
Apractical, solutions-focused leaderwith robust stakeholder skills across operations, maintenance, projects and asset management.
n
n
You don't need to be a qualified mechanic. What's important is that you understand heavy equipment, can engage confidently with mechanics and contractors, and can make sound maintenance and asset decisions.
n
Experience across transport, mining, civil construction, waste, recycling or earthmoving will be highly regarded.
