With 305 beds and a major referral role across Central Queensland, Rockhampton Hospital is home to a diverse range of specialist services, from Emergency Medicine and Surgery to Paediatrics, Mental Health and, of course, Cardiology.
With a newly developed, state-of-the-art Cardiology Department, the hospital is helping deliver even more specialised cardiac care across the region. Supported by visiting specialists from tertiary hospitals throughout Queensland, you'll be joining a busy, collaborative team with plenty of opportunities to learn, grow and make a real difference.

About the role:
Lead the way. Take the lead across a range of Cardiology administrative services, supporting your team to deliver efficient, organised and patient-focused services. Provide guidance, coaching and support while helping with recruitment, onboarding, rosters and staff development.
Keep the heart of operations pumping. Coordinate the busy day-to-day across inpatient wards, outpatient clinics and procedural areas. From managing clinic schedules and waitlists to monitoring performance and resources, you'll help keep everything running smoothly.
Find smarter ways to work. Review systems, processes and procedures and look for opportunities to make things easier, faster and more effective. Play an important role in continuous improvement, innovation and delivering better administrative services.
Connect, collaborate and problem-solve. Build strong relationships with clinical and corporate teams, provide practical advice, manage risks and support good governance and compliance. You'll also have the opportunity to get involved in projects and initiatives that help improve services and patient care.
About you:
You know how to lead, mentor and motivate an administrative team, creating a positive culture where people feel supported, accountable and ready to do their best.
Confident communicating, negotiating and building strong relationships with everyone from clinical teams to corporate stakeholders. You know how to bring people together and keep communication flowing.
Juggle recruitment, rosters, resources and competing priorities without missing a beat. You're all about keeping services efficient, organised and focused on patients.
Analyse information, make sound decisions and spot opportunities to improve the way things work. You're comfortable with governance, HR, compliance, technology and using data to drive better outcomes.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $118,172 p.a. is comprised of:
An hourly rate between $***** - $***** p.h.
*****% employer superannuation contribution
17.5% leave loading
