We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Head of English to join our Secondary school team in a full-time, ongoing role commencing 1 January ****. The successful candidate will provide strategic, instructional and curriculum leadership for English across the Secondary College, supporting the delivery of high-quality, Gospel-inspired education that nurtures students academically, spiritually, socially and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and inspire a high-performing English Learning Area aligned with the College's Christian vision.
n
Lead excellence in English curriculum, teaching and learning across Years 7–12.
n
Drive staff development, collaboration and continuous improvement.
n
Lead high-quality assessment, moderation and academic standards.
n
Manage resources, budgets and strategic planning to support student success.
n
Champion wellbeing, professionalism and active participation in College life.
n

Demonstrates a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and is an active member of a Christian Church, living in accordance with the Association's Statement of Faith, Christian Lifestyle Statement and Educational Objectives.

Model and contribute to the Christian ethos of the College community.

Lead engaging English programs that inspire literacy, critical thinking and creativity.
n
Drive curriculum innovation, assessment excellence, and moderation practices.
n
Develop and support staff through coaching, mentoring and professional growth.
n
Build a positive, collaborative culture while overseeing budgets and resources.
n
Current Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA) registration and a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC), or willingness to apply.
