Own the branch customer experience and act as the senior escalation point for service issues
Build relationships with customers, suppliers, overseas offices and agent partners
Protect existing revenue, develop recent opportunities and exceed growth targets
Lead day-to-day branch operations and hold department managers accountable
Ensure import, export, customs, transport and warehouse activities are timely, compliant and cost-effective
Improve local and global operational performance measures
Provide tools, equipment, capacity and skills for safe, efficient and quality-focused delivery
Resolve non-conformance and drive continuous improvement
Own the branch profit and loss result and exceed monthly budget targets
Control operating costs, resources and revenue allocation
Review financial, pipeline, debtor and key performance reports
Ensure strong debtor governance and act on overdue or problem accounts
Lead, coach and empower direct reports
Manage workforce planning, recruitment, employee relations, performance, development, retention and succession with Human Resources support
Ensure compliance with operational blueprints, procedures, policies and delegated authorities
Maintain knowledge of customs, freight forwarding, licensing, certification and regulatory requirements
Drive accurate use of CargoWise One, Dynamics and other company systems
Keep customer, operational and financial records audit-ready
Act on audit findings, control gaps and operational risks
Requirements
Proven leadership experience in international freight forwarding, logistics or supply chain operations
At least five years of relevant experience




Strong Western Australian freight market knowledge and established customer and supplier networks
Commercial capability across business development, customer management, budgets and profit delivery
Demonstrated success leading people, improving performance and managing change
Strong knowledge of international trade, customs, compliance and operational controls
Confident use of logistics, customer and business systems
Clear communication, sound judgement, resilience and ability to build trust across diverse stakeholders
