Make Dayforce work harder for the business.
Permanent Full-Time
$151,200 inc. super
Clayton
What's the brief?
We're partnering with a well-established organisation operating across the industrial and heavy equipment sector to find an experienced People Systems & Reporting Specialist.
Dayforce has been live for around 18 months. Now it's time to get more from it.
As the People Systems & Reporting Specialist, you'll become the go-to Dayforce expert across the business, taking ownership of configuration, troubleshooting, optimisation and continuous improvement.
There's a solid pipeline of systems work ahead. A new LMS will be integrated with Dayforce, a new safety system is being selected and there are opportunities to explore AI, automation and smarter ways of working across People & Culture.
You'll also tackle the smaller improvements that can make a big difference – digitising manual processes, improving workflows and finding efficiencies that make Dayforce easier for people to use.
The initial implementation wasn't without its challenges, so part of your role will be rebuilding confidence in the system. You'll need to understand what's possible, investigate issues properly and find solutions rather than accepting "the system can't do that" as the first answer.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you'll join two Payroll Officers and work closely with a broader People & Culture function of approximately 30 people.
Is This Your Perfect Match?
You're the person people come to when Dayforce isn't behaving.
You know the system beyond the surface level and are comfortable getting into configuration, investigating issues and working out how to make it perform better.
You're curious and solutions focused. If the obvious answer doesn't work, you'll keep digging until you understand why and what the alternatives are.
You're also comfortable balancing bigger optimisation projects with the reality of systems work – reactive tickets, ad hoc requests and stakeholders who need an answer now.
Attention to detail is a given, but communication is equally important. You'll work with everyone from operational and warehouse employees through to corporate teams and senior leaders, so you'll know how to explain technical issues without making them sound technical.
Most importantly, you're autonomous. You'll look beyond the immediate request, identify the broader issue and find opportunities to improve the way things work.
