Job Description
NORMA Pacific is seeking a hands-on Warehouse 2IC to support the Warehouse Supervisor in the day-to-day coordination of warehouse operations. This role is ideal for an experienced warehouse qualified who enjoys working on the floor, leading by example, supporting team performance, and maintaining a strong focus on safety, accuracy, service levels and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

Support the Warehouse Supervisor with daily warehouse activities across receiving, put away, replenishment, picking, packing, dispatch and inventory control.
n
Provide clear direction and support to warehouse team members to help achieve daily operational priorities, customer delivery expectations and warehouse KPIs.
n
Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely, including reach truck operation where required.
n
Maintain accurate warehouse records, documentation and system transactions using warehouse management systems.
n
Assist with cycle counts, stock investigations, inventory accuracy and general warehouse housekeeping.
n
Promote safe work practices and ensure staff, visitors and contractors follow site safety requirements and standard operating procedures.

Contribute to process improvement by identifying practical ways to improve workflow, safety, accuracy and productivity.

About you
n
n
Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution or logistics environment, ideally in a leading hand, 2IC or senior store person capacity.
n




Current LF forklift license is required; reach truck experience is highly regarded.
n
Current LO stock picker license is highly desirable.
n
Strong understanding of receiving, dispatch, pick/pack, inventory control and warehouse housekeeping standards.
n
Confident using warehouse management systems and basic computer applications.
n
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
n
Clear communication skills and the ability to support, coach and positively influence team members.
n
A strong commitment to Occupational Health and Safety, manual handling requirements and safe operating procedures.
n
Physically fit and able to safely lift and move products up to and including 20kg using correct manual handling techniques.
n
Self-motivated, reliable and able to prioritise tasks to meet agreed targets and customer delivery expectations.
