Working closely with our technicians and auto electricians, you'll deliver high-quality fabrication work that meets safety, compliance and workmanship standards.Key ResponsibilitiesFabricate and modify truck chassis to engineering and customer specificationsPerform MIG welding, cutting, grinding and steel fabrication workInstall and fit truck components including tailgates,



doors and ancillary equipmentRead and interpret technical drawings and measurementsCollaborate with workshop technicians and auto electriciansMaintain high standards of quality workmanship and safety complianceContribute to continuous improvement within the fabrication departmentDesired Skills and ExperienceAbout YouQualified Welder, Boilermaker, Fabricator or similar trade qualificationProven experience in welding and fabrication environmentsExperience with truck, trailer or heavy vehicle fabrication highly regardedStrong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanshipAbility to work independently and as part of a teamSound problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitudeCommitment to workplace safety and quality standardsReliable, organised and able to manage competing prioritiesThe successful applicant will be required to complete a National Police Check.About Westar TrucksWestar Trucks is one of Victoria's leading commercial vehicle dealerships, representing Isuzu, Western Star, MAN and Dennis Eagle.
