Cairns libraries are seeking an experienced and customer-focused professional to join our team as a Casual Librarian!
What You'll Do:Ensure a consistently high standard of customer-focused library services and resources are provided to the community.Lead, support and deliver excellent front-of-house services and operations across various Library venues.Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to build a high performing team that is results oriented.Contribute, through excellent individual and team efforts, to Cairns Libraries strategic goals and objectivesWhat We're Looking For:We're seeking individuals who are enthusiastic about library services, have a keen eye for detail, and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment.You should have a strong customer focus, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.You will have:ALIA (Australian Library and Information Association)



accredited undergraduate degree in Library and Information Studies; orSignificant progress towards completion of an ALIA accredited undergraduate degree in Library and Information Studies; orFirst degree in any discipline AND an ALIA recognised post graduate (graduate diploma or masters) degree; orEquivalent combination of relevant experience and training.Current Qld Drivers Licence and ability to independently drive between all library and business locations to meet operational needs.Qld Working with Children Blue Card or eligibility to obtain.If you're an experienced library skilled who is passionate about delivering exceptional service and creating positive community outcomes, we'd love to hear from you!
