Our Port Kembla terminal handles motor vehicles, general cargo, containers, break bulk, steel and project cargo across a busy multi-purpose port environment.We're looking for Casual Yard Operators to join our Port Kembla operations team.About the roleYour day-to-day duties will include:Forklift operations across the terminal yard (core part of the role)Lashing and unlashing of cargoLoading and restraining cargo in line with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and load restraint requirementsGeneral housekeeping duties — keeping the yard, wharf and work areas clean, tidy and safeAssisting with cargo receival, delivery and yard movementsOther general manual terminal tasks as directedWorking safely around vessels,



heavy vehicles and moving plantAbout youCurrent forklift licence (LF) with hands-on experience — essentialUnderstanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations under the Heavy Vehicle National Law, including secure loading and load restraintPhysically fit and comfortable with repetitive manual work, including lashing and housekeeping tasksStrong safety focus and ability to follow procedures in a live port environmentReliable, punctual and a good team playerFlexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, in line with vessel schedulesMSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card) or willingness to obtain oneReliable transport to Port KemblaDogging, rigging or other high-risk work tickets would be a bonus but are not required.
