Located at our Camden Campus Provide support to our student accommodation operations Base Salary HEO6, $107,312 - $115,686 p.a. + 17% superannuationAbout the opportunityThe University of Sydney is seeking applications for a Senior Housing Officer, Student Accommodation to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Camden Student Accommodation portfolio, including Nepean Hall, Nepean Lodge and Nepean Cottages, while also providing operational oversight of the Kingswood student accommodation complex and other University-managed or affiliated accommodation sites as required.
Reporting to the General Manager, Accommodation Operations and working closely with the Manager, Business Systems and Relationships, this role supports occupancy, revenue performance, maintenance coordination and stakeholder engagement across the accommodation portfolio, ensuring assets are well maintained and operations run effectively.
The Senior Housing Officer, Student Accommodation will work collaboratively with the Student Life team (Wellbeing and Cocurricular) to ensure a high level of customer service, support and to enhance the overall student experience.
The successful candidate may be required to travel to the main Camperdown Campus as requested by the Accommodation Operations General Manager.Your key responsibilitiesoversee the day-to-day operations of Camden Student Accommodation and support operational oversight of Kingswood and other allocated accommodation sitesmonitor occupancy, reservations, revenue performance and operational outcomes to maximise utilisation and service delivery across the accommodation portfoliocoordinate applications, bookings, peak accommodation periods and emergency accommodation requirements while ensuring a high standard of customer service and student supportmanage maintenance, refurbishment and asset lifecycle activities, including contractor coordination,



to ensure accommodation assets are maintained to University standardssupport financial administration, including revenue reconciliation, journal processing, forecasting, budget preparation, budget monitoring and financial reportingsupervise and support site-based staff and work collaboratively with accommodation providers, contractors and internal stakeholders to achieve operational objectivessupport compliance with relevant legislation, University policies, residential agreements and operational procedures while promoting resident safety and well-beingcontribute to continuous improvement initiatives through the review of accommodation operations, systems, maintenance programs and stakeholder feedback processesAbout youa bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experiencea First Aid Certificatestrong financial and operational management skills, including budgeting, reporting and occupancy forecasting experience in site leadership and coordination, ideally within student accommodation, facilities or hospitality environmentsbroad understanding of real estate principles and compliance with the Residential Tenancy Actextensive project management experience ranging in size and complexity including understanding of the quoting and tendering process, timeline management,



contractor management and compliance requirementsexcellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to foster productive working relationshipsSponsorship / work rights for AustraliaYou must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to be eligible to apply.
