Men's Healing & Support Worker - Family ViolenceLilydale | Permanent | Full-Time | 0.8 FTE ConsideredTradewind Australia is recruiting a passionate Men's Healing & Support Worker to join a Family Violence team in Lilydale.This is an Aboriginal Identified position, supporting Aboriginal men to promote healing, accountability and non-violence, while keeping the safety and wellbeing of women and children at the centre of all practice.About the RoleWorking within a culturally grounded framework, you will support Aboriginal men to understand and address the underlying factors contributing to their use of family violence and work towards making safer choices.You will:Provide culturally grounded case management and support to Aboriginal menUndertake family violence risk assessment and safety planningParticipate in collaborative risk management and appropriate treatment interventionsSupport men to address behaviours and underlying factors contributing to family violencePromote healing, accountability and non-violenceWork with men to strengthen stability across different areas of their livesKeep the safety and wellbeing of women and children central to all practiceBuild strong relationships with clients and work collaboratively with other services and stakeholdersUndertake outreach as requiredThe role is primarily onsite at the Lilydale office, with outreach requiredAbout YouWe're looking for someone who brings a strong combination of cultural knowledge, relationship-building skills and family violence expertise.You will ideally have:Experience working with men experiencing or using family violenceExperience in case management, family violence, counselling, behavioural change or a related fieldStrong Aboriginal cultural knowledge and a culturally grounded approachUnderstanding of family violence risk assessment,



safety planning and risk managementA strengths-based, trauma-informed and non-judgemental approachExcellent communication and engagement skillsThe ability to support accountability while maintaining robust, respectful relationshipsA genuine commitment to improving the safety of Aboriginal women and childrenWhat's on Offer?
