reliable and ready for operationsBe part of a strong team – work alongside experienced plant and maintenance professionalsGrow without limits – access training, mentoring and career pathways across Australia and STRABAG's global networkA culture that cares – our values of Care, Integrity and Excellence guide everything we doReward for your work – competitive remuneration and access to the Georgiou Perks discounts platformAbout The RoleAs a Light Vehicle Mechanic, you'll use your trade skills and experience to service, diagnose and repair the project's light vehicle fleet to the required standards of safety and reliability.Working as part of the site maintenance team, you'll undertake preventative maintenance and repairs, respond to faults and breakdowns and help ensure vehicles remain available to support the project's operations.What You'll Be DoingPerform preventative and scheduled servicing across the project's light vehicle fleetDiagnose faults and undertake mechanical repairs and breakdown maintenanceCarry out inspections and identify defects or emerging maintenance issuesUse strong diagnostic,
fault‐finding and troubleshooting skills to resolve mechanical issuesEnsure vehicles are repaired and maintained to required safety and reliability standardsRespond to breakdowns and work efficiently to minimise vehicle downtimeComplete maintenance records and documentation accurately and on timeWork collaboratively with the Workshop Supervisor and wider plant maintenance teamProvide guidance and support to apprentices where requiredEnsure all work is undertaken in accordance with Georgiou's safety, quality and compliance requirementsYour Skills And ExperienceAustralian recognised Light Vehicle Mechanic trade qualificationDemonstrated post-trade experience in light vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairsStrong diagnostic, fault‐finding and troubleshooting capabilityPrevious experience working in field service operations will be highly regardedPrevious mining, FIFO or large‐scale civil construction experience will be highly regardedStrong commitment to safety and high‐quality workmanshipEffective communication and organisational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a maintenance teamConstruction White CardValid C Class driver's licence, with HR licence highly regardedPhysically fit and capable of meeting the demands of the roleStrong alignment with our values: Care, Integrity and ExcellenceIf you're an experienced Light Vehicle Mechanic who takes pride in your work and are looking for your next FIFO opportunity on a major Pilbara project, we want to hear from you.We're committed to building a diverse and inclusive teamWe welcome applicants of all cultures, backgrounds and identities; people with disabilities, members of the LGBTIQ+ community, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and current or former members of the Australian Defence Force, including veterans and reservists.
