Mine Planning EngineerPerth CBD, WA12-Month Initial Contract | High Likelihood of Extension | Immediate Start AvailableAn exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Mine Planning Engineer to join a major resources organisation supporting the integration of mine planning and infrastructure requirements across large-scale open pit mining operations.This position plays a critical role in connecting operational and medium-term planning outcomes with infrastructure development requirements, ensuring mining activities remain aligned with future energy and infrastructure strategies.Working within a highly cooperative technical team, you will partner closely with mine planning, operations, technical services, and infrastructure stakeholders to support planning integration across a dynamic mining portfolio.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the primary interface between mine planning and infrastructure teamsParticipate in planning meetings and collaborate closely with 2-Year Planning and Operations Planning teamsTranslate approved mine plans into near-term infrastructure and energisation requirementsMonitor and assess changes to approved mine plans and identify impacts to infrastructure schedulesMaintain integrated pit and infrastructure planning registersModel mobile equipment charging requirements, including charger numbers, locations, and deployment timingAssess infrastructure constraints and integrate these into mine sequencing activitiesIdentify and resolve conflicts between mining schedules, fleet deployment, and infrastructure readinessSupport quarterly planning cycles and change management activitiesEvaluate cost, schedule,
and delivery impacts arising from planning changesSupport trade-off studies and planning optimisation initiativesEnsure planning datasets are maintained and published accurately to enterprise planning systemsContribute to the standardisation and continuous improvement of planning processesAbout YouYou are a motivated and proactive Mining Engineer who enjoys working across multiple stakeholder groups and thrives in a fast-paced workplace.
