You will set up and operate CNC turret punch machines (Amada) to produce components to specification. This is a hands on role in a clean, organised, and safety focused workshop.
Key responsibilities
- Operating CNC turret punch machines (Amada)
- Operating Guillotine (Amada)
- Completing machine setup, tooling changes, and adjustments
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Measuring and inspecting components for quality
- Maintaining tooling and machine cleanliness
- Working with the Operations Manager and production team to meet daily targets
- Performing routine machine maintenance and keeping the work area clean and organised
- Following WHS procedures at all times
About you
- 3+ years CNC turret punch experience
- Strong tooling and setup knowledge
- Ability to read drawings and measure accurately
- Sheet metal or fabrication background
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable with a positive attitude and solid work ethic
- Strong attention to detail and good problem solving skills
- Forklift licence an advantage
- Experience sharpening and maintaining Turret tooling using the Surface Grinder an advantage
