About the role
You'll work across the full quality lifecycle in a hands-on role where you'll play an important part in ensuring Emesent's products, components and customer orders meet high quality standards before they reach the customer.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect incoming components and materials against drawings, specifications and engineering requirements
- Perform in-process quality inspections during assembly and sub-assembly builds
- Complete final QC inspections on new-build Hovermap payloads, RMA products and accessories
- Verify product functionality, workmanship, cosmetic condition and completeness
- Perform packing and shipping verification against customer orders and system records
- Conduct First Article Inspections (FAIs) for new or changed suppliers
- Raise and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), particularly relating to supplied parts
- Support Engineering Change Notifications (ECNs) and Recent Product Introduction (NPI) activities
- Maintain calibration and preventive maintenance records for QC and production equipment
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain and Logistics to resolve quality issues
About you
- 3+ years' experience in quality control, inspection or QC coordination, ideally within manufacturing, electronics or technology production
- Experience with incoming, in-process and outgoing quality inspection
- Experience with shipping/packing verification
- Competence using inspection equipment such as callipers, micrometers and multimeters
- Understanding of AQL sampling concepts
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
- Experience with NCRs and corrective action processes
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow documented procedures
- Good communication skills and confidence working across technical and operational teams
- Experience using digital workflow tools such as Jira, Confluence or SharePoint
