Technical Sales Representative
Canberra ACT | Full Time
$105,000–$120,000 + Car + Super + Bonus

Are you a technically minded sales skilled with experience selling into the civil construction, earthmoving or surveying industries?

We’re seeking a Technical Sales Representative to grow an established territory across the ACT. You’ll sell advanced construction technology directly to the businesses and organisations responsible for delivering civil infrastructure, land development and earthworks projects.

Who You’ll Sell To

Your customers and prospects will include:

- Civil construction and infrastructure contractors
- Earthmoving, excavation and plant-hire businesses
- Roadworks and subdivision contractors
- Surveying and spatial-services firms
- Local government and ACT Government departments
- Major construction companies and project teams
- Owners and operators of graders, dozers, excavators and other heavy equipment

You’ll engage with business owners, directors, project managers, survey managers, site supervisors, engineers, estimators and machine operators. Your role will be to understand their operational challenges and recommend technology that improves site accuracy, productivity and profitability.

The Opportunity

Covering Canberra and the wider ACT, you’ll manage existing customer relationships while actively developing new business. Supported by experienced technical, field-service and training teams, you’ll sell solutions including:

- 2D and 3D machine-control systems for heavy equipment
- GNSS and site-positioning equipment
- Robotic total stations
- Surveying and construction technology




- Specialised software and connected-worksite solutions

This is a hands-on, field-based sales role. You’ll regularly visit construction sites, contractor offices, equipment yards and government customers to conduct consultations, demonstrations and commercial negotiations.

About You

You’ll be a motivated, commercially focused professional who can translate technical capabilities into practical customer outcomes.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

- Sales or operational experience within civil construction, earthmoving, surveying, heavy equipment or construction technology
- A proven ability to win new business and grow existing accounts
- Knowledge of GNSS, machine control or site-positioning technology
- Confidence engaging with customers from machine operators through to senior decision-makers
- Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-management skills
- The ability to manage a geographic sales territory independently
- A current driver’s licence

Experience with Trimble or comparable machine-control and positioning systems will be highly regarded.
