ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to senior leadership, the Payroll Manager will oversee the accurate and timely delivery of payroll while providing guidance and support to the payroll team. This role will suit a hands on leader with strong technical payroll knowledge and experience managing complex, high volume payroll operations.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Managing the end-to-end payroll function
- Leading, supporting and developing the payroll team
- Ensuring payroll is processed accurately and within required deadlines
- Managing complex payroll queries and escalations
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation,



awards and enterprise agreements
- Reviewing and improving payroll processes and controls
- Supporting audits, month-end and year-end activities

SKILLS + EXPERIENCE

- Proven experience in a Payroll Manager, Payroll Operations Manager or senior payroll leadership role
- Strong end-to-end payroll knowledge
- Experience managing complex, high-volume payrolls
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing payroll teams
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards, enterprise agreements, taxation and superannuation
- Excellent reconciliation, reporting and problem solving skills
- Robust stakeholder management and communication skills
- A hands-on, collaborative and solutions-focused approach
