About the role

Alfa Bakehouse in Yarraville is looking for an experienced Front of House / Customer Service team member. The biggest priority is strong, genuine customer service. We have a large base of loyal regular customers, so we want someone who naturally makes eye contact, greets customers warmly, starts conversations, remembers faces and enjoys building rapport with people.

Key responsibilities

- Greeting and speaking with customers

- Taking orders and processing payments

- Learning and using our Lightspeed POS system

- Preparing sandwiches, wraps and focaccias to order

- Preparing pre-made sandwiches, wraps and focaccias in the morning

- Keeping displays and the front counter clean, organised and well presented





- Working closely with the kitchen, coffee and wider FOH team

About you

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Confident and comfortable speaking with customers

- Warm, approachable and attentive personality

- Reliable, punctual and well presented

- Able to work well within an established team

- Comfortable learning a easy POS system

- Previous customer-facing experience

- Previous business ownership, management experience or a long history in customer-facing roles would be highly regarded
